FAQs
We have carefully curated artwork from local artists to celebrate our appreciation of our culture and the native flora and fauna around us. Due to our licensing agreements with our artists, no changes or alterations have been made to any of the designs, keeping the art in its original form. Which means, some designs may show paint marks, which would have originally been from the artwork.
Product care.
You can spot clean and machine wash your mat. Spot clean using a soft brush or cloth and a non-oil based gentle soap rinse thoroughly with cold water. Machine wash on cold and hang to dry. Your mat will not fade or bleed. Please keep your mat away from extreme temperatures.
Our designs.
Locally curated from local New Zealand and Australian artists. All artwork has been legally licensed, so we please ask that you respect our designs, and not reproduce them for commercial use. See our artist page for more information about our artists and their inspirations!
Materials.
You can slide but you wont slip! Our mats are ideal for hot yoga and sweaty work outs, the more you sweat the more you stick! The velvety-smooth finish of the microfibre surface is different than your traditional sticky rubber mats. Traditional rubber surface mats deprive your muscles from taking on the benefits of the yoga poses. The microfibre surface allow you the freedom to really engage the muscles and to adjust and transition smoothly into your poses. If you need to slide your feet a bit closer or bit further, you'll have the freedom to move and flow without being stuck to your mat.
If you’re looking for a little more grip you can always have the option of spritzing the mat with a bit of water to increase the microfibre tack.
Our mats are made from a biodegradable, recyclable, natural tree rubber base and a vegan certified microfibre surface. They are free from toxic glue and phthalates and the ink used to showcase our beautiful art is water based.
